Bear and Brick project
BearThe Rotary Club of El Monte / South El Monte and the City of El Monte are supprting the sale of engraved bricks as a fund raiser for local student scholarships.

You can also support this program by purchasing a brick engraved with your name or your company name.

This bricks will be used as a platform base surrounding the large grizzly bear statue.  The Rotary Club and The City will have an area within the city to display your engraved bricks.   This is an idealway to have your name and your loved ones names in our city.

The cost is $100.00 per brick with your name engraved and $300.00 per brick for a company name.  All proceeds collected will be used for local student scholarships and to cover the cost and materials.

This is not a project for profit but, a charitable effort by your local Rotary Club.

Our grizzly bear has been decorated by our High School students and will be like the above picture.

The theme is " The end of the Santa Fe Trail"

About Rotary of El Monte/South El Monte

Club meets every Thursday at 12 Noon at Pepe's Restaurant

11740 E. Valley Blvd., El Monte, CA 91732

Rotary is a worldwide organization of business and professional leaders that provides humanitarian service, encourages high Imageethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Approximately 1.2 million Rotarians belong to more than 32,000 clubs in more than 200 countries and geographical areas.

Rotary club membership represents a cross-section of the community's business and professional men and women. The world's Rotary clubs meet weekly and are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds.

The main objective of Rotary is service — in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world. Rotarians develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development. The Rotary motto is Service Above Self.
